The University of Oklahoma’s School of Dance will host a showcase featuring the students of the SummerWind Youth Ballet program Saturday, July 3, at 1:00 p.m. in Historic Holmberg Hall of the Reynolds Performing Arts Center. This delightful event will include selections of classroom technique as well as rehearsed repertoire, performed by the 37 dancers who have been chosen to attend SWYB. Every year, SWYB offers educational and artistic opportunities to dancers ages 11-18, with classes taught by OU dance faculty and guest artists such as Robert Mills and Helen Starr, and a variety of seminars covering topics like injury prevention and dance history. The program culminates in the on-stage showcase. Please contact me if you have any questions.
