The Norman Public Arts Board will have models of the West Main Street Sculpture Project’s four finalists’ proposals on display at the Norman Public Library Gallery Room from August 20-24th.
The four finalists include: Jonathan Hils, Hugh Meade, Stan Carroll, and Craig Swan. The finalists will present their models and proposals at an interview with the Norman Public Arts Board (NPAB) in a closed-session on Sunday, August 19th.The models will be scale representations of the proposed sculptures for the West Main Street Sculpture project.
Two of the four proposed sculptures will be chosen, following the public viewing, to be purchased by the NPAB and installed at the intersections of West Main Street and Webster Avenue, and West Main Street and Santa Fe Avenue.
The public is encouraged to visit the Norman Public Library to view the proposals and leave comments on which sculptures they would like to see on West Main Street. The models will be available to view during regular business hours of the Norman Public Library.
