On Saturday, October 13, the whole world will be walking again with Scott Kelby, president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and #1 bestselling computer and technology book author, in his Fifth Annual Worldwide Photo Walk™ — the world’s largest global social photography event in the history of photography.
The City of Norman and the Norman Arts Council invite you to participate in the Worldwide Photo Walk on Saturday, October 13, 2012 beginning at MAINSITE Contemporary Art: Home of the Norman Arts Council. Sign-in and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the Photo Walk starting at 8 a.m.

“2012 is the 5th year for the international event organized by Photoshop software guru Scott Kelby, and this is the second year Norman has hosted a walk,” said Erinn Gavaghan, Executive Director of Norman Arts Council. A photo walk is a fun, social event where photographers of all experience levels spend two hours walking around a designated area shooting pictures of anything that interests them and having fun with other photographers. After the walk, all participants are invited to submit their favorite shots from the walk to the Norman Photo Walk Flickr site to be considered for the city’s official submittal to the Worldwide Photo Walk competition.
Last year’s Norman Photo Walk was held in Downtown Norman, while this year’s trip will start in Downtown, go through the Larsh-Miller University neighborhoods, and onto Campus Corner, giving Photo Walkers the opportunity to experience more of Norman’s historic areas.
