The University of Oklahoma School of Art & Art History is pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Chili Bowl, which will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Lightwell Gallery.
The Chili Bowl is an annual fundraiser hosted by the School of Art & Art History and sponsored by the OU School of Art & Art History and the Red Clay Faction. The event is open to the public and is a wonderful opportunity for students, faculty, staff and the community to support the School of Art & Art History, taste a variety of homemade chilies, and take home a one-of-a-kindceramic bowl made by an OU student or faculty member.
“The Chili Bowl is a terrific way to see friends and associates at OU, friends from out of town, and try some of the best chili in all of Oklahoma,” said Dr. Mary Jo Watson, Director of the OU School of Art & Art History, “You not only have a good time and get a beautiful bowl, you also provide funds for student scholarships and student travel. We invite you all to attend!”
OU ceramic students and members of the Red Clay Faction create handmade chili bowls, which will be available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis. All-you-can-eat chili, with the appropriate condiments and a handmade ceramic bowl is $15. All-you-can-eat Chili without a ceramic bowl is only $8. The bowls are all food, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. All proceeds will fund School of Art & Art History student scholarships.
