During the upcoming 2nd Friday Art Walk on April 14, a collection of artwork created by members of the Thunderbird Clubhouse will be on exhibit at Fusion Fitness and Yoga, 323 E. Main St. in Downtown Norman’s Walker Arts District.
Along with a raffle for a special Thunderbird painting, pieces of work will be on display between 6 and 9 p.m. These pieces will be available for purchase. All proceeds during the “Art of Recovery” event will be donated back to the clubhouse. Joie Johnson will be performing during the event which will also feature light finger foods and beverages.
Members of the Leadership Norman 2017 class along with the Thunderbird Clubhouse Artists Collective and the clubhouse board have planned the special art exhibit. Leadership Norman members include Bell, Stefanie Brickman, Michelle Britz, Rachael Dewberry, Shavonne Evans, Lainey Phillips, Joshua Sauer and Daren Wilson.
“The artists will be in attendance to educate guests on the impact that Thunderbird Clubhouse has had on their lives and their art,” Merleyn Bell, Leadership Norman member and one of the event organizers, said.
