The Park Sculpture Project
The Norman Public Arts Board (PAB), on behalf of the Norman Arts Council and the City of Norman, seeks an artist (or team of artists) to design and enhance/paint fabricated fiberglass sculptures of a duck with a patriotic theme. Three sculptures will be placed in Reaves Park (located at Jenkins Avenue between Timberdell and Constitution). The exact location of the sculptures with be determined at a future date. It is the intent of the Public Arts Board, in the future, to produce additional fiberglass sculptures in other Norman parks. This RFP is for three separate ducks and three submissions will be selected.
Applications are due at 4 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013. Physical copies can be picked up at MAINSITE Contemporary Art, 122 E. Main, Norman or downloaded here.
