We Art Lindsey Street is an initiative made possible through the partnership of Norman Arts Council, Norman Public Arts Board, Institute for Quality Communities, Norman Chamber of Commerce, Norman Economic Development Coalition and Visit Norman aimed to support Lindsey Street and surrounding area businesses that have struggled through major, ongoing road construction affecting both the interstate exit and the street itself.
Many have lost upwards of 50% of their normal business, and We Art Lindsey Street hopes to provide a boost in sales and patronization through a series of pop-up art events, installations and projects that will run from December 2016 through October 2017. Artists are encouraged to apply for grants of $1,000 that can be used for materials, equipment and compensation for time and skill in putting together mobile art events and works that will attract attention and traffic to the area.
Please direct any questions to Joshua Boydston at firstname.lastname@example.org.
